Diane Marie (Hartley) Kraemer

Diane Marie Kraemer, 66, of Nisswa, passed away Thursday, December 14, 2017 at Hills Crossing Senior Living after a long and courageous battle with Huntington's Disease.

Services for Diane will be held at 11:00 AM, Wednesday, December 20, 2017 at Timberwood Church in Nisswa with Pastor John Just officiating. Family and friends are invited to gather Tuesday evening from 5-7 PM at the Brenny Funeral Chapel in Baxter and one hour prior to services at the church on Wednesday. Interment will take place at Evergreen Memorial Gardens following the funeral.

Diane was born September 20, 1951, in Brainerd to R. James and Zelda Lou (Richmond) Hartley. Diane was a graduate of Brainerd High School in 1969 and continued her education at Brainerd Area Vocation and Technical College where she received a secretarial degree. In 1971, she was united in marriage to Bruce L. Kraemer at the First Congregational Church in Brainerd. The couple lived in Colorado Springs for a year before returning to the Brainerd Lakes Area. Diane began work as a secretary for Crow Wing Power. Some years later years, she accepted a position with Russell Herder Advertising and over the course of her career became an account executive. She retired in the late 1990s, then spent some time working as a guardian ad litem.

Diane enjoyed nature, boating, and golf. She was an accomplished pianist and had a deep love for music. She loved to travel, sightsee, and was an avid fan of lighthouses. She enjoyed dining out with family and friends or spending an afternoon shopping. Most of all, Diane loved her children and grandchildren.

She is survived by her ex-husband, Bruce L. Kraemer, of Brainerd; children, Neil (Kari) Kraemer, of Breezy Point and Lisa (Tommy) Woog, of Nisswa; grandchildren, Keegan, Brianna, and Aydan Kraemer and Abby Woog; her sister, Barb (Mike) Marohn, of Brainerd; many special nieces and lifelong friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents.
